SURGICAL ORTHODONTIC CASE

This young man had braces once but he continued to grow and his lower jaw outgrew his upper jaw placing him in a reverse bite or in dental terms a Class III malocclusion. This needs surgery to correct the malocclusion along with braces a second time to get him in a position so the Oral Surgeon can relate his upper and lower teeth. If you have a son or daughter who is truley a class III it is better if you wait till they stop growing before treating the case. I work pretty close with my Oral-Surgeon also. I always get his opinion before starting one of these cases. This only occurs in 3% of the population.
